    Box of Encouragement

    21.00 - 28.00
Sometimes people around us struggle for a long time through loss, illness, or isolation. It’s these times they need daily encouragement and a reminder they are not forgotten.

I have designed, cut and assembled these boxes myself. They are made of 110lb Pearlized cover cardstock and lined with 60lb cardstock (lining colors may vary slightly from picture). Each one features a print of my artwork on the lid. They are filled with 21 cut and folded cardstock strips ready for you to personalize with notes of encouragement.

For 3 weeks (that’s just $1/day) your loved one can open a note and be encouraged and reminded that you love them. Click "View more details" for ideas in writing your notes and a link to the story behind this unique gift item.

    21 Messages of Encouragement:

Many of us are so concerned about saying the wrong thing to a hurting person we find ourselves saying little or nothing. But people facing difficult days need most of all to know they are remembered and cared for. Being forgotten is far worse than receiving a few clumsy words. Try not to worry about finding the perfect words. The best thing you offer is friendship--the mere knowledge that someone cares.

Here are a few kinds of messages to inspire your writing:

    • Tell your friend how often you think of her/him.
    • Write out things you sometimes pray for your friend.
    • Recall a happy memory you share.
    • List things you value about your friend. (Focus on who they are more than what they do or use to do.)
    • Write out the lyrics of a favorite song, movie quote or book excerpt that has been meaningful to both of you.
    • Share a fond memory of a lost loved one for a friend who is grieving.
    • Repeat your best message for emphasis.
    • Aloha!

As I watch our world, I have become more and more passionate about how desperately we need to look upon one another in love. But how can we do that when our own hearts are in turmoil?

Each of us, no matter our differences, yearn to experience more joy, peace, and love. Those are common human needs and I believe these longings have been placed in our hearts by The Creator and are met by The Creator in many ways, art being one of them!

My art is infused with meaning as I express these most basic heart needs. My greatest hope today, is that as you explore my website, my art and the stories behind it, will touch you personally.

And in turn, as you experience this through my art, I hope you will be able to turn and touch another’s heart who is in need of joy, peace and love.

      Melanie
