Hawaii Island Galleries
While traveling on island, look for my art at these galleries:
One Gallery
186 Kamehameha Ave, Hilo Hawaii (Map)
"One Gallery" is Hilo's premier home for local art. Representing over 70 Big Island artists this is a must-see location on your travel agenda. Along the waterfront of Hilo bay, One Gallery sits among a variety of stores and shops of historic old Hilo-town. Come in, check it out and look for Melanie's art.
Banyan Gallery
71 Banyan Drive, Hilo Hawaii (Map)
Adjacent to Hilo's two major hotels (The Hilo Hawaiian and The Grand Naniloa) you'll find the delightful little Banyan Gallery. Stop in and ask to see Melanie's works.
19-3834 Old Volcano Road, Volcano Hawaii (Map)
A visit to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is more than fascinating. And when you get hungry, stop by Volcano Garden Arts for lunch and some great art shopping in this charming gallery. It's the home of one of Hawaii island's best known artists: Ira Ono. Some of Melanie's paintings are also waiting inside.
Island Photo Hawaii
15-2714 Pahoa Village Rd J-101, Pahoa Hawaii (Map)
The Puna district of the Big Island is the place to go for recent lava flow exploration. In Pahoa town you'll find Island Photo...a print and frame shop as well as gallery. The featured artist and proprietor is local photographer Harry Durgin who can set you up with amazing pictures of recent and distant past lava flows. You'll also find works from several local artists including... Melanie Pruitt.
506 Kaalaiki Road, Naalehu Hawaii (Map)
The Kau region is remote but well worth the drive. Popular attractions include the turtles at Punalu'u beach, Kau coffee farms and Punalu'u bakery. Directly across the parking lot from the bakery is the Kau Gallery. Stop by and see a collection of works from artists on the south and east side of the island.
