About Hudson's Honu
One of my favorite things to do in Hilo is to walk across the bridge to Coconut Island (Mokuola). I almost always see a beautiful honu swimming under the bridge. It was here I was able to show my grandson, Hudson, his first honu. He is a very serious contemplative child, paired with a great imagination. This painting pairs a careful study of a honu, with a fun imaginative underwater scene.
