Lifted Countenance Series

As I sit and enjoy the scenery around me, I often find myself seeing faces etched into the landscape itself and my attention moves more towards the people of the land, than the landscape itself. I believe, God created these beautiful places for us to enjoy, but His greatest creation are people.

My series titled “Lifted Countenance” is a series of paintings highlighting beautiful landscapes while also recognizing that people, throughout history, have experienced difficult and even oppressive periods. By acknowledging this we show them respect and lift them up.
